Web design for a community website

This website’s target audience are high school students looking for information about preparing for university. As the name of the site is Treehouse community, the client wanted to feature a Treehouse illustration.
I suggested a full page fixed illustrated background . The illustrations were found at istockphoto, and I integrated the treehouse in with photoshop.
The client was very pleased with the outcome, and I proceeded to create a WordPress theme, based on the hybrid framework.

An American university was in need of a redesign for its annual conference, centered around technology.
A requirement was to use the colors from the already existing logo.
I really like how this turned out, it has a modern and sleek look and feel to it.

A famous american author was in need of a fresh design for promoting his new book.
I found inspiration in the subject of the book which is about a sea voyage. I used boat imagery and marine colours and effects.

A college education portal was in need of a website which would focus on content, with a content heavy home page. That is why I went for a magazine layout.
The background texture gives a chalky feeling that reminesces the chalkboards.
Notice the use of the appropriate icons for bulleted lists.

An event center was in need of a design for its website. The key elements were its unique situation in a harbour, and that was to be reflected in the design, and should also appeal to women considering this venue for their wedding.
I think the light colors and central image convey the appropriate feeling to the visitor.
