I've made a couple of custom pages using the FBML application thanks to Darren Rowse from ProBlogger stepping me through it in this article: http://bit.ly/dBLh3l The recent change in widths of the custom pages has stuffed a lot of people up so if you've created a page, you might want to check to make sure it hasn't been messed up.
