About

Nice to meet you!

Hello, I’m Paul de Wouters, and Sidera Design is my web design portfolio, with which I help individuals and small businesses to successfully establish their online presence.
I’ve been designing for the web for two years now, but I’ve been interested in the internet since I bought my first PC in the 1990s. I bought one of the first CSS books by Hakon Wium Lee, even though I didn’t really get it as everyone was designing with tables.
I was born in Weymouth, Dorset, a lovely seaside town in South West England. As a young boy, our family moved to Belgium where I spent most of my years, except for a few years in the South of France where I had my first sailing classes, which influenced my destiny although I didn’t know it then.

I enjoy listening to electronic music (apparat, kraftwerk, FSOL, Boards of Canada,…), classic rock (Pink Floyd, etc), brazilian music (bossa nova, folk,…) and some jazz (Coltrane, Charlie Parker,…)
After a hard days work, I don’t mind a sip of cachaça (the local rhum) with some Guarana soda and ice, or a caipirinha (a cocktail of cachaça and lime)
I like to go for a bicycle ride along the seafront early in the morning when the sun’s not too hot and taking a stroll on the beach in the evening when it’s cooler.
My Google Reader has RSS feeds from hundreds of design blogs which I like to read in the morning.
